Hi Marc. I haven't used one of these myself, but I have had a good look at them at our local camping shop - they look good to me. Lot's of people on this forum have recommended the Black Cat heater, which was the previous model. It's certainly safer than a parabolic as it doesn't have a flame.

I have this and have used it for one night so far. It was very flexible with big handles for carrying it around and moving it about. It felt ok to move it even when it was on. The legs can change the angle it tilts at. It was very solid and chunky feeling. It lights instantly with the ignition. And the cartridge just clicked in. I can't compare it with anything else because I'm new to camping. But I have no complaints so far. It was a cold night and we were thankful

Got the Blackcat heater, very good heater. Got mine 2005, still going strong. I'm going to get the bluecat heater as I already use the 407 cartridges for my lights, keep everything the same.
