Hi Jax,

Thanks for your advice.I actually have a German EuraMobil "Owners Manual" that covers everything from the doors to the appliances and will probably just have to type it out(as printed in German)and then use Babelfish to translate it into English for me.The model is either a Truma 3002 or 5002 and I have seen them fitted in Hymers myself,so I can always stop off in Germany in February when I'm going to Slovakia on holiday in my campervan,for a verbal run through of the system.However I was hoping to get everything checked out and make certain that it's all running properly before setting off-especially as it's going to be cold and snowy,and onboard heating/hot water is going to be essential for me.Hopefully someone will have some instructions for the boiler/heater spare-if not i'll just make a pit stop enroute.Thanks again for your advice.Michael -The Animal Ambulance Man

Thanks for the manuals-slight problem as not the right one though.Having checked out the truma website I can now see how to use the boiler/fire-light and set thermostat that's on the case of the "Gas Fire"-but still don't know how to use the 2 control boxes that are on the wall about 1 metre away from the actual boiler.1 box is for the water and I guess is just for temperature and has an on/off switch ,but the other has a 3 position switch and a thermostat which is confusing me.I think that the switch has 3 positions-1 off 2 water only 3 water plus blown air heating? or is it 1 heat only 2 water 3 heat with fan?This is what I'm trying to find out.Any ideas please?Thanks in advance !!

A could you post on here or email me a picture of the switch ?
Is the switch brown in colour , rectangular in shape and has a small 3 way rocker switch in the middle of it ?

Hi there again everyone,

I've managed to get the problem sorted ! I found a German painter who was working locally and for a 6 pack of beers translated the owners manal into English for me.I sat opposite him while he was supping the beers as he translated and I wrote notes as he dictated-I only bothered with the main bits of the manual and just covered the essentials,but it was good enough for me.Thanks to all of you who tried to help me out-it was much appreciated and I hope to be able to return the favour sometime or help someone else through another forum (maybe with help or information about bringing pets back home to the UK after being abroad).I'm sorted now and after a thorough service of my van will be off across Europe to Moscow early in 2008 to take donated supplies to an animal shelter there. Hoping everybody has a great Xmas and a brilliant New Year.
