What is the best length of TV ariel cable to buy to connect my TV to the outside electrical bollards on caravan sites?

How long is a piece of string. I've only had to do this on one site and bought one that they made there on site. I believe that it was 10 metres.

Providing the cable is insulated properly (no bare wires for the air to get in) then you can have any length you want. Signal loss is negotiable and will not affect the picture in any great way. The best way is to get the more expensive plugs for each end and then wrap them up well with insulating tape.

We found that 5m was a bit short. It worked on the first site then on the next it was short. So I would get 10m. Buy it in a hardware store rather than on site. CC Troutbeck Head were charging about £18 for a 10m lead.

I reckon you can do a long lead for around £7 if you go to focus and buy the bits!

Same length as your electric hookup lead you will never be further from the bollard than that.

I think the electric cable is about 25 meters!!!!!!!!! I dont want to buy one too short but then again messing with long cables is not my idea of a good time. Sounds like it will be cheaper to make my own

we got 2 lengths at 10 metres each, but have only needed them once. 10 m was too short, so 2 lots seemed a compromise to avoid tripping over spare. i think we got them frm argos!!

If you buy one from the CC wardens they are 25m long, this matches the recommended 25m electric cable to ensure that you can always reach the bollard. Having said that i have never needed anything like the full length on a CC site, a CL yes but not a club site.
