Just wondered if you could tell me the best time to sell a load of stuff i purchased last year with the intent to start camping but have now bought a caravan.
I have a 2nd hand large canvas tent but all the rest was bought new, it is still new and unused.ie new cooker, table, picnic set (with all cutlery, crockery etc..) 3 ex army sleeping bags (been dry cleaned) 3 beds (bed chairs that the anglers use these are superb and retailed at £100 each and are pure luxury). plus other items but can't think at the moment, any way should i stick on e-bay or local classifieds as a lot or singles.

Agree with 2plus1 that you should state 'item advertised elsewhere'.
I don't think you're allowed to do that. I know people do but it's against the rules. Ebay had a purge last year and closed ad's that said that.
Plus, practically, if you've got a bid you can't withdraw the item.
Exactly if its on ebay and gets a bid, according to ebay policy its binding, I'm sure most do it so that they can pull the auction at the last minute if the price does not suit.
I think tent sales are beginning to move again - judging by ebay - but I'd give it another month before advertising.
I'd also advertise individual items. Those anglers chairs/beds might be brilliant kit,but they are also quite bulky aren't they? Might be best advertising in both camping and angling sections.
I'd also suggest separate items, you need to take into account the cost of packing and postage, especially for the bulky items unless you're going for local collect only.
You may regard the items as "new" but to everyone else they will be second hand and will be priced accordingly.
Good luck - will you be back flogging the caravan next year
