I love filling ours for beef stew as no-one else likes stew (strange as they will eat the ingrediants seperately but not cooked together) then freeze portions and nuke 'em whenever needed. They only thing I cant stand is sausage casserole as the sausages look anaemic and raw YUK ! Great item and sooooo easy to produce good meals

We use ours in the caravan if we are going out for the day.  Just "load it up" in the morning before we leave and come back tired (and often wet, cold and bedraggled) to a lovely hot meal.

It saves a fortune on eating out.

Not much washing up to do after either.

Just done chinese pork in mine - smells lovely, garlic, gingr, 5 spice, spring onion, soy, sherry and stock.  Would have had a hint of sesame oil if I hadn't run out!  Lovely with stir fried rice/veggies!

You need to brown them first. Same with any meat that you want to look "cooked".

One of my husband's favourites (couldn't stand it myself) was liver and onions. Slice up liver, dip in seasoned flour and fry till browned along with lots of sliced onion. Throw it in the crockpot along with 3 oxo cubes made up to a pint, give it a good stir and leave for at least 4 hours.

I love ours, initially was a bit hesitant about getting one, but it's been great.  We've taken it away and just done the meal in the morning, and it's fantastic in the evening.  I'm about to get a casserole ready for tomorrow as OH is working late, and if I served him a casserole i'd be divorced |(he can't bear them), done some mean beef madras in mine.
