Hi all,

I'm back picking your brains again. I recently had the caravan floor strengthened, it had become delaminated in front of the sink and the fridge. The guy who did the job for me has done an excellent job. I think if I could get an elephant in the van it would stand the weight. (LOL). Anyway we are now keeping it permanently in North Wales and will be out there in the next few weeks (hopefully). Unfortunately our son's wife is very ill at the moment so things are very much in the air.

What I need is some replacement carpet for the floor of the van, which has stood the test of time quite well for the past 12 years but a new piece will keep her indoors happy. I've been to Carpet World and the guy in the store showed me some bathroom carpet which is on a roll and costs about £7.00 per square metre. I need a piece 3 '9" wide 13' 6" in length. What do you guys think is suitable and any decent outlets you can recommend would be helpful. our local B&Q don't have much in stock.

Thanks, look forwarding to hearing from some of you. You always seem to have an answer. You're a great bunch!

Tony.

Thanks Lunarjon,

My son-in-law is a floor fitter and can do  carpets, so no problem on that score. He just asked me to get the carpet and he'll do the rest, unfortunately he lives 200 mile away. I shall have a look for one near to me.

Cheers!

I would recommend flotex if you can afford it we have it in our kitchen and looking to put it in our carvan next month you can also get this in tiles too spill and stains stay on the surface and are easily wipes / scraped up .
