We got ourselves a high pressure cadac safari chef last year which is great

UNLESS!!!

It's cold weather!  It often is up here so we don't tend to use it as much as we should   Does anyone know where I can buy a valve that converts it from high to low pressure gas cylinders?

Are you running it on Butane or Propane? We have used ours with the blue butane CampingGaz cylinders in sub-zero temps, but the couple next door using propane couldn't even boil a kettle.

Orange bottle?  Is that a low pressure gas bottle with hose etc?  

Still fancy being able to use the bigger gas bottle as well as the high pressure cannisters so if anyone knows where I can get one of those adaptor valves errrrr!  seen them on the net somwhere last year and paid no attention!  Now I've decided it's a good idea -  not to be found!

i run mine on the propane gas which is the orange bottle, the blue bottle is butane which i have never used since i moved up here.

meant to say as well maybe give cadac an email as they might be able to tell you if you can get the adapters from

The problem seems to be I think not with the kind of gas but whether it's high pressure aerosol type can - or - low pressure refillable type bottle as the high pressure cans seem to create more cold air as the gas is propelled out under pressure????   (according to a technical brained friend I spoke to last night!)

I should have bought the low pressure version in the start,  but it was such a bargain I can't grumble

When we bought our Cadac a couple of years ago it came with 2 burner jets.

We have only used Calor butane ( blue ) but have to admit the Cadac struggled on a cold, windy morning at East Fleet Dorset with the breakfast ( took an age to cook a sausage !!! )
