Hi,

I've just had our new Bluecat Campingaz heater delivered. It looks really well-made, compact but sturdy and just the job. I can't wait to try it out! I need to go and buy a gas cannister for it.

I was wondering though - where's the best place to store gas cannisters when they're not in use? Is it safe to store them indoors?

Anyway, we got the Bluecat from Simply Scuba (via Amazon) - £33.50 delivered which seemed the best price and it arrived very quickly and well-packaged as well.

We've had a Black Cat heater (the predecessor) for several years and have always kept out gas cannisters for that indoors, stored safely away from any heat sources of course!

Flammables are always best stored outside your living quarters if at all possible. A shed would be nice, a garage even. Having lived some years in an apartment I know sometimes one must do with what they have. Gas canisters of this size are not unduly unsafe when a few are stored indoors. Of course the total number of canisters should not be excessively high! The canister should be removed from the cat prior to storage though.
