I'm thinking of getting one of these, but it will have to be an unseen online purchase, as nowhere near me stocks them.

http://www.campingworld.co.uk/Models.aspx?ModelID=169

I'd like to be able to use it as a low table, so kids can kneel at it to eat/play etc.  From the look of the pic of it, the legs are two piece, and the lower piece screws in when you put the table up.  Does this mean it can be used without these extra leg extensions as a low table.  Would like to know for sure before forking out a small fortune for what should be a really nice table, big enough for 6.

Cheers

hiya are you on about the calgary bamboo table if so i suppose you could use it with the leg part which you screw on but i doubt it would be as stable.

what about buying one of the picnic tables where it all folds up together these are really good and would be ideal for the kids !!

mdskids - did you go for the Outwell Calgary table?  If so what's it like?

I bought a cheaper brand - Quest table which is exactly the same design and quality wise its pretty good.  And yes on mine you can use the table without the bottom parts of the legs (so as a low coffee table)

i've got one of these, yes its really good, a decent size and very light and easy to carry.

the legs do clip on underneath the table, and then you screw them to size, perfect level as a coffee / childrens table, or adult dining table.

p.s i paid about £40 for my one - it was on offer at the caravan company in leicester

fsdss did you get the M or the L ( think the M is 90cm by 60cm and the L is 90cm by 90cm).  Just wondering as £40 is a good price.

thanks fsdss will check it out - I have the Outwell dawson picnic table and the quest table which is identical to the Outwell calgary M.  However, we find we need something to put the cooker (campingaxz camping chef) on to cook as we use the picnic table as a dining tale and the other one to store stuff on in the tent so we don't have to keep bending.

Was wondering if I should just get a large table like the Calgary L or a specific camp kitchen
