I agree, you will get a decent slow cooker for around £15 - £20 from any high street electrical retailer

Daughter as that model. Finds it very good. But I'd shop around for a better price or even a different model. There's lots about.

There was one in Argos for about £10. I agree shop around.

Pay as much as you feel you need to to get the one that you want but forget ebay, if you go to a local retail store you can take it back if all is not well with it and it will be just a cheap

Remember, there are shops outside of ebay that sell electrical goods just as cheap, such as Amazon, etc. and you get full distance selling protection!!

I also have the same one from Argos and can highly recommend it.  Had it for a while now and never any problems.

You'd probably get a bigger one ie 3l for £30 or under.  If you've got a family you'll probably need bigger.  I do my stews in mine and even then I need more room for my dumplings!!!!!!!
