I ordered a baby's sleeping bag from World of Camping a while ago which was to be delivered by Parcel Force. If any of you have read my thread on Parcel Force you will know that they 'lost' the parcel. I contacted World of Camping who promptly sent me a replacement via a different courier (TNT). That one arrived the next day. Parcel Force then contacted me a week later to say the original parcel had been found and could I confirm it was to be returned to the sender. I said yes please. Well guess what, yesterday a parcel arrived for me through the normal mail - yep, you guessed it - the original sleeping bag!! I contacted World of Camping to ask what they wanted me to do - bearing in mind this whole saga has gone on for weeks - and they've told me they don't plan to collect it and I can keep it! I know the sleeping bag isn't masses of money but with the two lots of postage as well I would like to say World of Camping customer service is excellent and I will not hesitate to order again from there.
Its really nice when something like this happens, instead of looking at the whole episode as a bit of a nightmare, you are left with appreciating the good service you have recieved from the company...youll just have to get another baby quickly sos not to waste the spare bag...
Couldn't agree more. I've ordered many times from World of Camping and I've always had good service, I also one day used their online chat service to ask questions about my TT - I spoke to one of their staff called Dan, who was absolutely brilliant.
I bought a loo from them last week. I emailed them to say it leaked and they sent a replacmeent (next day) and tld me to keep the old for spares if i wanted to.
I have bought from them before and it beats a faceless internet company - they are real people.
Thought i would let you know about my experience with world of camping too! i contacted them today to place an order and co incidently I saw a slightly damaged tent they were selling on ebay.(I am on a tight budget!!!) The ebay auction wasnt due to end until the day before i was to go on my first ukcs meet, so i explained the situation to them and they got back to me within a couple of hours and offered me a different one at a discount. that is what i call top quality customer service.
Another thumbs up from me too, ordered a tent on Tuesday it arrived Thursday, had been informed by both Worldof Camping and ParcelForce, I am even happy to say that Parcel Force were great too, the poor delivery chap probably didn't bargain on having to deliver a 31kilo package that day, and his legs were buckling as he brought it in.
Its amaxing what a company can do wth a little communication - and look how quickly everyone finds out about it:). You can't get better advertising really can you.
