I love my awning, its a bit of a hangover from my festival going days and its one of my favourite places to be. In fact if I am having trouble sleeping or trying to meditate, I often imagine myself sitting in my awning on a summers evening. I love that feeling whenit just starts to get cool and you change from shorts to long trousies.
Sadly, said haven of peace and tranquility is in bits in the back of the car after a hurried demontage during the gales last weekend - we were lucky, quite a few lost awnings completely!
It will be back up weekend after next and will be installed with the following fixtures and fittings
Confession time - I have a string with half a dozen Indian bells hung above the door - makes a noise if anybody comes in unannounced and also gives a nice "Zen" tinkle in the breeze.
Floor covering is a tarp which is covered with rag rugs from Ikea, loosely clipped together they are great underfoot and each one can be taken out and washed or rotated if needs be
Cadac barbie - as yet unused.
Collapsible tressle table that I am in the process of sinking a two burner leccy hob into
Bean bags
Half built table made from two formula one tyres and some ply ;-)
Couple of sheepskins hanging to put over when it gets chilly at night and I want "just one last nip of that single malt before I turn in"
In the process of making some new curtains with an "Om" pattern on them - each to their own but I aint keen on the standard offerings from the likes of Doreema etc.

Tell me about it! In ours we have cooker/sink unit, aquaroll and stand, table, two folding chairs, step, rubbish bin, fan heater or portable gas fire depending on whether or not we have ehu, loo (in its own compartment) and dog's beds and bowls. That's the normal stuff, but then over the course of a weekend different things creep in courtesy of OH - tool box, spanners, hammer, various bits of rope/string, screwdrivers, flashlight, anything he buys while we're out - and I seem to spend half my weekend tidying things away. Then no sooner have I put something away than he gets it out again, leaves it lying around and I invariably either stand on it or trip over it. Apart from that, our awning is extremely tidy!

I think I want to come spend time in your awning, Sounds very soothing and all hippy/flower-powery.
