We have recently purchased one with all the goodies and the discount from here and used it for the first time two weekends ago; Fab
We cooked breakfasts on the griddle plate rather than the BBQ plate which were terrific and I cooked a stir fry in the wok on the Saturday night and that was just as good as doing it at home.
How long does it take to cook a small roast chicken on the rack with veg in the moat?

I usually poke the thermometer through the holes in the lid into a fleshy part of the chicken, when it says its done, I will give it another 5-10 mins to be certain.
hope that helps?

HI
Just wondering if you know the diameter of the frying dish wok and the frying pan please, Am wondering if the ones i use at home would work and save me some pennies
When we were in France last week we cooked a reasonably small chicken in the Cobb. I used one Cobblestone and with some bacon and loads of barbecue sauce on the top it took just over 1 and 1/2 hours. However, it was really pelting with rain the whole time and my attempts at covering the Cobb with an umbrella weren't always successful! I chickened out (sorry) of trying to cook vegetables in the moat - it always seems to get full of fat - which I know it's meant to do, but the thought of fishing out little sealed packets of veggies in their foil wrapping didn't appeal in that weather. So, with salad and some delicious wine, we devoured it. Only trouble was cleaning the Cobb next morning when a party of French school kids had taken all the hot water.
One tip - do make sure that the chicken will fit under the dome and on top of the roasting grille. If it doesn't, you will of course loose heat.
I love my Cobb!!

Chop a lemon into 4 pieces and put them into the mote prior to cooking. This makes the cleaning of the cobb very easy.... Nothing sticks with a lemon in the moat!
