I take a  gas lighter and a box of matches, and keep both in a long thin plastic box like you get for keeping bacon in the fridge. Neither lighter nor matches will work if they get the tiniest bit damp.

A ciggie lighter will just singe your knuckles every time you light your stove. Trust me on this one.......

I've a turboflame original which lights just about anything in any weather.  The turbostick might fit the bill if you want more distance from point of ignition.

I use this it is really used for lighting gas welding equipment but it works in all weathers and even lights my tilly lamp.
