Well, despite me thinking that I didn't want one of these I decided I did and went and got one of the last two at our local Lidl this morning.
I bought almost this exact one six years ago also from Lidl and while it worked very well when plugged in to the car, it didn't have a mains plug included and we didn't have EHU either back then so ultimately I decided a coolbox and ice packs were easier for short stops. Then we got a 3-way fridge plus EHU for long trips. But...occassionally I do need a fridge for weekends and then I have to lug the CombiCool there. This does not fit in with my minimalistic packing ethos, so when you very useful people said there was now a mains plug included that made me reconsider. As I said the previous one was fine when it was powered up and did hold a reasonable quantity of food, so...now I have a good lightweight UK option.
You lot are terrible when it comes to persuading me I need new things......
(Why didn't I just buy an adaptor for my old one? Well, the flex for the old one got caught and wrecked (totally by accident, nothing to do with Hubby not looking of course) under one of the car seats when it was being shoved back. So it got slung out ages back.)
