Hi, yes they work fine BUT, you do need to be in an area with a decent signal, this doesn't apply to this item but to all of th freeview receivers, some are slightly better than others dependant on the aerial which we find has to be a normal full size one as the supplied ones are pretty rubbish
------------- Doing as little as possible for as much as possible...
For good reception of a lot more free-view channels you;d better buy a small satellite dish and receiver. With that, you can receive all the ITV and BBC programmes. I have one in Holland, where I live close to the German border and I can follow the antics of Peggy and her son(s) on a daily base. Has to be a good stormy night before the signal fades.
I use one on my laptop works great can record with them as well, we use a tv ariel outside on a pole and as long as freeview can be found then it finds it.
yes have to say ive used one for a long time now and so far touch wood always able to get most channels saves having to take a tv too. less space so Yes they do work.
I'm looking for an external ariel for my USB DTV tuner for taking away with us as the wee one that comes with it is obviously useless 90% of the time. Is there a package I can buy or do I need to buy all the bit's and pieces? i.e. a pole, a bracket, some coax, and an ariel. Surley there is a kit out there? Any one help?
