Went away this weekend and one of our airbeds had a small hole that I had to repair. I had the Coleman puncture kit but could'nt find any instructions. Can anyone tell me if the glue is a contact glue that should be allowed to go tacky or is it just a matter of glue up a patch and wack it over the hole?

thanks

Not going to be much help, I'm afraid, but I have just been and read all the instructions on the airbed and repair kit and it doesn't tell you anything about how to repair the airbed.  The leaflet with the repair kit is in every language but English but, with my limited amount of German, it only tells you the "ingredients" and warns about keeping it away from flames and eyes!

Hope someone will be able to help.

I believe we used it on something else, and found it had to be tacky.

We now use the self-adhesive bike innertube patches though, which work exceptionally well, and very quickly and easily.

you want to gently rub the area with fine sandpaper first to give a key ,then apply the glue to the patch and press it on and weight it down for a while till it sets.
plastic to plastic is never very good anyway unfortunately,if its the fluffy side use the sandpaper to remove some of the fluffyness surrounding the hole for better sticking quality.
for very small holes we used stormsure? (or a competitor a flexible type of glue) a squirt into the hole if poss and a liberal application around leaving small dollop ontop is fine but needs longer to cure than patches but we have found it doesn't let the hole get bigger unlike patches which then can leak

Our doubleheight coleman sprung a leak at the weekend only used it 3 times so was a bit dissapointed, after a good hour we eventually found a tiny hole, like you said no instructions with repair kit however we managed to repair it but think we will have to keep an eye on it.
