If you are a member of COSTCO, and if they still have them, consider the IGLOO Max Cold 70 for about £35.  Keeps things chilled for 5 days and even a bit more.

What sort of car do you have? The MaxCold looks great, but its a very awkward shape - too tall to fit in the boot of our Mondeo and too big by far to go between the kids in the back seat.

I got one, brought it home and then hubby pointed out I had put it in the boot on its side - which is no good when it full LOL! (its a spacial awareness thing - I have the same problem with the digital camera - the number of videos I have taken 'upright' because it looks better, just to realise they are at 90 degrees on the screen).

It is an awkward shape for the boot of a saloon, but I have a Zafira which, with the back row seats down, is a glorified estate.  Also, my wife won't contemplate getting close to nature so it's just me and our two sons (still managed to fill the car to bursting point.); I think I had the MaxCold on the front seat last summer, but it could just have well have gone into the boot.

There are other shapes and sizes in the IGLOO MaxCold range, most more conventional.  But this was on sale at a VERY good price as COSTCO last year (repeated this year) which is why I chose it.

Other more conventionally-shaped cool boxes that are just as efficient at their job are the Coleman Ultimate and Ultimate Extreme ranges (U=5 days; UE=6 days).
