I've already got one mummy style sleeping bag but will need to buy another for my partner.

I'd like to be able to zip them up together but mine's too old now to buy a match.

The question is, if I buy any other mummy style sleeping bag with the opposite zip configuration will they be compatible?

You'd think they would be, isn't a zip a zip?

Yeah, but they come in different brands, widths and pitches of teeth, design of teeth etc etc. Bit like calling a piece of wood a piece of wood, really! 

And then of course there will be the design of the actual bag....

Best way to check for compatibility is to take the current sleeping bag in with you and try them out.
