right...this is now bugging me to the extent that i'm having dreams about it...

our new(to us) folding camper is fitted with both sockets for towing. we don't have a built in fridge or a battery charger so to my knowledge..the only thing to run from 12v is the water pump and the lighting (and 3 12v sockets)

now...what is bugging me is what on earth is the point of having the 12s socket on the trailer??? on our caravan it was obviously to cool the fridge and charge the battery but i can't for the life of me figure out what i would need it connected for while in transit.

The manufacturers must have fitted it for a reason but i just dont know what it is!!!

please help as i am likely to drive oh mad if i don't find a plausible reason!!

trace the wires from the plug and see where they go to

have traced the wiring and as far as i can tell it just goes to the water pump and the sockets...maybe it is so that you can put a cool box in ...but we tend to keep that in the car as we use it for lunch on the way...

maybe thats its only purpose...i was convinced that i was missing some really exciting use.

not sure if it has reversing lights ...will have to check.
