HI, just trying to figure out what lead i'm going to need for the portable in the caravan as the one i tried seems wrong .think i need one with two of the same connections. Is this a special caravan thing?? Sorry still learning!!!.
The portable is just am old tv we had in the loft, so we thought we could use it in the caravan. Not freeview or anything special but the connection in the caravan and the tv seem to be the same, just wondering if there is a certain 'caravan' lead?! Sorry Paul-I don't know what a 'coax' plug is!! I need to be talked through it all slowly - am a TOTAL beginner!
I use a couple of there they fit all male & female plugs
------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
Pete.

If the socket in the caravan looks like the socket in the back of the TV (chances are it does) then you just need a standard TV aerial flylead - with what are technically known as male coaxial Belling-Lee UHF plugs on each end (standard TV plugs to you and me!).
They are available everywhere and look like the following:

Thanks everyone, now I know what you mean. I've now got a double ended cable like in matthews pic. Sorted!
Tenby here we come!!!!...we're going for our 1st trip on Fri - 3 night short one to see if there's anything else we need to learn before going further afield!
