Following our last outing in the caravan we have got tar splashes on the van following hitting some re-surfacing on the roads. 

Does anyone know what best to remove it with.

WD40 gets tar off clothes, no idea if it is suitable for caravans though?

Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover  use there stuff all the time best about in my book  should work well on a c/v but have only used it on a car

Not sure, but if surface paint is the same as a car then careful use of White spirit. I've used it for years on all the cars I've owned and never had a problem. Small dab on a clean cloth and rub very lightly over the tar spot. Wash with clean water and apply wax immediately afterwards.
