Which bits of your Cadac do you take and use when camping?
We bought ours at the end of last year so this is our first trip out with the Cadac although we've used it lots at home.
I was always concerned about the size for travelling and I don't feel the need to take all of it with us.
I'm thinking we'll just take the paella pan, this avoids taking the bottom section as the paella pan sits straight on the burner. As it's non stick it's also easier to clean.
we just use the flat hotplate thing and the scottle, made a lovely curry and spag bol in it last week whilst we were were away. Never used the lid cause the screws were missing and the pan stand thingy broke before we got to use it

you need the double sided scottle plate the smooth is best for breakfast bacon etc then ya crack ya eggs on when youved turned it off and by the time you have dished out bacon sausage etc the eggs are cooked.the other side is gr8 for chops and fish,we love ours, but one thing to remember you dont need it on high its best to cook things slower.
I reckon I can do pretty well everything we need on the Paella pan, it's just a big frying pan really isn't it? (should say at this point that I haven't actually used the paella pan at all yet as we only bought it recently!).
If we take the flat griddle pan, we have to take the base that it sits in and having just cleaned that up from the last time we used it I don't really fancy doing that on a campsite! Then we would have to take either the scottle or the paella pan to give us something to cook bolognaise/chilli in.
I'm not taking the lid, it's too big and I think I can create a foil lid if I need to cover anything.
hmmm the lid is a bit of a pain really! we took the whole lot last week, heavy as it is think we used most of it........... and also took 2 burner stove with grill! both great and both have their uses we think, although we must find away of just limiting what parts to use on cadac because hell of a weight and space. Maybe for few night break just limit it to 1/2 pieces and for 2 week hol take the lot. First time using it last week and we love it, great buy and well worth it.
We don't take the lid or the little pan thing. John left the legs at home that wasn't such a good idea !! He refused to hold it up while I cooked too.....PMSL at Jan....
