Hi there new to the forums so please be nice and apologies if this question has been asked a 1000 times before.

We are new (well born again!) campers.  We are looking for some advice on what cooker to buy.  We will camping around the UK and Europe in short bursts staying in places for 1-2 nights only therefore would like a cooker that uses a gas bottle that you can disconnect and not waste what is left of the gas.

In terms of price we have no set budget (but don’t want to spend a fortune) as we are going by car size isn’t too important as long as it has 2 rings.

Any help advice from some seasoned pros would be great.

I am in no way an expert or "seasoned" camper, however I used one of these last weekend and cooked for 8 people on it. 4 adults and 4 kids. We used it outside and when the weather was awful, we used it inside too. it has 2 rings and then you can convert it to a griddle to use as a bbq, but without the wait for the charcoal. I was so impressed I have bought one myself. They are normally £60 to £70 but I found it for £39.95. My home bbq has rotted over the winter so I am going to use it at home too, as a gas bbq. Hi, is this cooker easy to assemble?  I thought I saw a thread somewhere about the shelf being a bit of a pain as you have to use wing nuts or something.  That may just be on the ones that have the under cupboard though. If it goes up easy enough I may well invest in one as it looks ideal.

I think the shelf is attached by wingnuts. I only cooked on it, our friends brought it with them. Mine hasn't arrived yet, so I haven't built one yet!

i use the coleman duel fuel double burner it runs on unleaded petrol that you pump  up (also i have the coleman duel fuel lamp which works in the same way)  i have used gas burners and lamps in the past and they have been ok but i never was a fan of gas,  whatever you decide one word of advice, use a good make  dont bother with cheap and cheerful   good luck.
