I think this is a typog error on the ALDI web site. It is the same as mine & it is a 240V mains unit. You need an inverter to change DC to AC & they cost a bomb for a big one.
Saw them yesterday, they are 240V mains units. They look good, & are CE marked.

My kids go camping with cubs and scouts and are sometimes allowed to take an airbed to sleep on which we pump up beforehand but other times are not allowed to (for instance, if they have to carry all their gear across several fields before they get to their camp area). In these instances they take those thin roll mats like people use for yoga but they hate them, they say they're very uncomfortable so I'm wondering if these self-inflate jobbies would be any better - but not if they're too bulky to have to carry with all their other scout/cub kit.
We have thermarests, which are more comfortable than the mats, but dd always prefers to take a mat. You have to roll the thermarests quite tightly to get the air out and make them small again (that done, the ones we have are smaller than the foam mats!), its a doddle for me, but little hands find it a lot harder.
Called into Leigh Aldi today and was surprised to seethey had 2 cool boxes left so i picked one up.
Plugged it in and it works a treat.
They still have some self inflating mats and tables left.
Well I used the coolbox and the cupboard this weekend so thought I'd let you know how they worked. The coolbox was great, in fact it was even colder than my fridge at home at times. The cupboard worked less well for food stuffs as the shelfs do bow in the middle so everything tended to roll/move towards the middle or just fell over. I'm now going to use it just for longer stays and will probably just use it for clothes.
Hi All, just seen these postings and know I maybe too late........sorry, but just to say that I purchased the EHU from Aldi and it has a campsite EHU plug on it, as yet have not used it, but off on Monday to Glenmore, so will see if it works or if I have been ripped off!!!!!! hope not
I was in Aldi in Bury (northwest, outside manchester) today and they had 5 of the Tents still left , also camping chairs 100kg max and those cool bags you plug into the car lighter. Oh and the camping lanterns and sleeping bags, liners.
Went down to our local Aldi today and picked up two of the roller holdalls. Gotta say for £10 you can't go wrong! Having said that I was also talked into buying the mains/car Coolbox =D Tested it out today though and it seems brill.
