Hello all,

just got back from a lovely camping weekend, well apart from the rain on Saturday night

On the way back I picked up a Thule bike rack I bought off ebay, it's a monster one, and takes 4 bikes!

Anyway, my Nissan Primera estate has two 7 pin sockets, and my existing Thule rack has a single 7 pin plug that connects fine, and gives me all the required lights/indicators etc

The new rack has a 13 pin plug, but with only 8 pins in it.

I have seen a proper Thule converter, but the cheapest I can find is £18 Thule 9901 adapter

So I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a cheaper reliable alternative.

I was a little surprised that Towsure mailed me back to say they didn't stock anything suitable.

I have seen some other converters, but for around £10 or so on ebay, plus £5 postage - may as well go Thule at this price.

Someone said I could get one from a 'Caravan place' for around a fiver, but that's as close as I have got!

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Dan

This one is a bit cheaper.

However, why not just buy a 7-pin 12N plug and wire it onto the rack in place of the 13-pin one
