Surely wine is the first thing we pack?

OH would disagree as he hates the stuff but that's just fine... more for me :)

That's why I prefer bottles - I know how many litres I drank ..

I'm pleased to see the current NHS 'units' advertising campaign being treated with the contempt it deserves.

I love the fact that we all consider wine to be essential "Equipment" for campers!

I think it's a girlie thing - the lads seem to like their tinnies.

I posted  a reply about another topic on another page..about hangover cures.  My daughter read it and screeched.. "you can't put you drank that much!! They will think youre an alcoholic!!"

Wish I had put what I wrote in the first place now..seems I'm with like-minded people. LOL

As I see it..my OH does'nt drink at all..so if I did'nt have his quota..as well as mine, some-one else would! So I'm saving that other unfortunate person from liver damage.

I'm just too nice for words!! LOL

there is a way around the bulk problem of wine and beer that is a pain on campsites, okay now I have the thetford. the solution is to have a wee dram at night. same alcohol benefit but less liquid

agree though camping and bevvy seem to go together well, 1st time I have ever seem mum lubricated was at cruachan this easter when she got though a bottle on her own, at least at abington she had a partner in crime (FAO her partner in crime got 3 bottles of that white cheap today)

My wife sent me out to buy a box of red wine which as a good loving and faithful husband I did.Imagine our surprise when we opened it and found six bottles of merlot inside.
