We have one like this:

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/redirect.asp?redir=http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/camping-equipment/furniture/8715436160380

Its good and sturdy and you can use the shelves seperately, which we find useful. For weekends we use a smallish tent and one burner stove, so we leave the bottom 2 shelves in the tent as storage and lift the top one out to cook. We've also used it as a stand for disposable barbeques, and at the moment it is in permanent use until I find a unit for my dining room!

Now these look like a direct copy of the old orange modular Hago kitchen stands which were around in the '70s and '80s, and which were and still are the finest kitchen stands ever made. You can still find them on Ebay and carboots etc. Well worth looking out for. Lots of accessories like plate racks, washing up stands etc.

My parents had one of them! Referred to it as a "bean stalk"

We still have our beanstalk - was planning to sand it and repaint it before we go away in August, but if they are making them again we might just get a new one.

Alison, that one looks good - does it fold completely flat, and does it come with a storage bag?

I rate it! It does fold completely flat, but doesn't have a storage bag. We were fortunate enough to have an old kit bag that fits pretty well, but it would be better with a bag.

Val- that looks great! Pity I don't live anywhere near Redditch. I wonder if I could rig up something to attach a second one to mine...   Best not buy another stand though, as we pick up the tt next week, with its own kitchen!

World of camping have one like this for 28.99 at the moment. I'm interested in this, but what is the actual pack size?

I'm sorry, I can't tell you the folded depth at the moment because its in permanent use in my dining room loaded with stuff!  The legs fold down flat, and so does the windbreak, so its probably around 6cm deep, but don't hold me to that!  Perhaps someone else can be more accurate?

All the best,
Alison
