dont know what size they pack down to but when inflated they arnt very big, we looked at the love seat to use as a sofa but it isnt very wide, the chairs arnt either, we saw them up at towsure.
There rubbish don't waste your money on them. There have been several threads regarding the Love seat - Ours lasted 2/3 days before puncturing wihout any misuse!!
BOUGHT TWO OF THE U CHAIRS A MONTH AGO, I CAN HONESTLY SAY THEY ARE BRILL, REALLY COMFY, NOT SURE WHY OTHERS DONT LIKE EM, MIGHT BE SOMETHING TO DO WITH PEOPLE OVER INFLATING EM OR SOMETHING ELSE, THEY GET THE THUMBS UP FROM ME.THEY DEFLATE REALLY EASY , NOT TO BIG TO PACK.
My U chair finally got dropped off at the charity shop, thought I would give it one last go on nour week away, but still completley naff as constantly fell like you are tipping forward.
We have a U-chair and 2 loveseats. With 2 small children, one wife and a saloon car, I needed a seating arrangement that was capacious and small to load. These fitted the bill perfectly and all people of all shapes and sizes have used them without tipping (it takes a bit of common sense - granted). The big problem is deflation. I have had to re-seal mine with seal grip (lots of) along the inner seat seam. I have also used rib sealant to improve the seal. Since doing this they have been ok - fingers crossed. Prolem is that when deflated they take up so much less space, and so I don't want to get rid of them (hence I have stuck with it and re-enforced them). To really use them well I think you need to re-enforcement straight away - so budget for £10 worth of seam sealer for each loveseat. Still not without risk of deflation, but so far so good!
I too will vote for the U chair. They do get quite a bit of bad press here but I can honestly say ours has served us well for over a year and a half without any problems what so ever. They are not the best of things to sit on at a table to eat a meal, but great for general lounging about.
They pack down fairly well, and I always find some unused space in the car that it will squash into.
