Dear All

My airbeds have done a runner!  No idea where they are.  We've the pump, sleeping bags and everything else but the airbeds have gone!  Not sure if someone has nicked them when we last went camping but I doubt this and I doubt that someone has nicked them from the garage - but anyway they've gone.

I need your help because my husband isn't right up for this camping lark and he moans every time we come back saying he can't sleep on the airbed and it's not doing his back any good (he's only 28!!) so I was thinking of getting something maybe a bit more pricy and hopefully a lot more comfortable than the ones we've had before which have been the cheap ones from Argos.  Which don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with those.  Any ideas?  What would you recommend?

Fridge - the one we have is useless - can hardly get anything in it and I was going to invest in a new one - any recommendations here?  Not too expensive though!

Looking forward to your replies.

How spooky, i was just going to ask exactly the same thing about the airbed.  My hubby has the exact same moan and he's only 36!  We've booked 10 nights in August, but we've only done one holiday for 3 nights up to now, so he's already getting nervous!

I was quite happy with the double airbed we have, along with a mat, sleeping bag and duvet.

Any advice from other people with dodgy backs??

Having been shown one of these at the Fullbrook Farm meet last weekend, we're having some, they are brilliant, up in seconds and the guy who had it is 21 stone so i'd say they are strong as well

Hi Clare2377

Could it be that your OH has disposed of them???? that way he wont have to go camping.

We had the same trouble when we 1st started to camp but invested in the Coleman bed I think its larger than a double and about a foot & 1/2 to 2 foot high. I have to admit I slept better on this bed then at home.

It cost us about £50.00 which at the time I did have ago at my OH cos we already had 3 x singles, but it was worth it he suffers from his back.

We have a trailer tent now but still take it just incase.

Fridge: we have got a 50ltr one from Halfords which suits us had it for 4 year's so well worth th £35.00 we paid in sale. I know there are a lot out there so another nice person maybe able to help you a little more, or you can search to see if there are other messages ref fridges.

Anyway must get back to work hope I've helped.

Jane

Hello. We are in the same position.
Let's face it: we all know that if you get your camp bed right we're going to be in heaven!
Here are the 3 options I am looking at:
Kerla organic cotton roll bed from Amazon 2 x single or double approx £100
or
Fancy Airbed from Argos approx £115
or
Memory Foam bed toppers approx £100
Camp Beds are no good for snuggling and spooning on those cold nights.
How do we find out what is the most comfortable and space friendly bed?

Oh thanks - i'll have a look at these options!

We are going for 2 weeks so I need to get a nice bed sorted - oh and the funny thing is, I'm thinking about getting the new airbed for my husband for dads day, he'll be over the moon, lol!

You might be right - he might have hid the beds and I might find out more things are missing too!

I bought a fridge from Aldi yesterday it's a bit bigger than our old one and the OH asked where I was going to put all this stuff - told him in a trailer (not got one yet though) his face was a picture!

I've just bought an aerobed with a code I found on here. We have a memory foam topper as well as we are wusses. Camped on the bedroom floor last weekend to try it out, the two combined are very very comfortable (but not cheap).
