Hello,

Is there someone who can tell me if the kids room for the Minnesota 4 tent from Outwell also fits the Montana 4 model from 2006. (last model made in that range)?
I've heard several different answers and I do not entirely trust those salesmen( they all say it fits ( exept for one)) I would also like to know if the front extension is compatible with the old model. According to some retailers it fits.

unfortunatley it looks like the 2008 kids tents wont support any outwell tent made before 2008 as someone else had the problem with a monty 6 2007 and the kids tent wouldnt fit it as some of the fasteners were slighlty wrong.

Hi,

Seen your gallery pics, can u advise if this is a Minnesota 4 extension which supposedly fits a Montana 4, if so how snug a fit is it & where did you get it from.

Many Thanks.

from looking at the sizes of the minnesota extention and the monty 4 the size of the extension is 3.35m wide x 2.00m high but the monty 4 is only 3.15m wide x 2.05m high so not sure whether it would fit snug or not.

Hi John,

We have the montana 4 tent and canopy and the minnesota 4 extension.  The extension fits just as well as the canopy.  The canopy is a lot better, gives a lot more shelter.  Dont think we will use our canopy again.

You can buy them from most stores that sell the minnesota 4, but we got ours from camperland in manchester, think we paid £69.99.

Hi Happy Campers

Do you mean that the extension fits a lot better and gives more shelter or is it  the canopy, your message is a bit misleading. If it is the extension is there much of a gap between extension & tent as we've been advised a tent supplier.

Thanks John.

Hi John

Sorry, yeah  i meant the extension.

We didnt notice a gap between extension and tent??

Dont suppose your tent supplier has used it?? we have used it for a weekend and it was great, it gives more shelter to the sides.  We used to use windbreakers at the sides of the canopy, we dont need to now we just use them at the front to make it more private.

hope this helps, if you need anymore advise, let me know
