We have the Waeco 55, which is not cheap but is an excellent piece of kit. I have dropped it twice, but it seems to be built from strong stuff and still works brilliantly in all conditions. It works in the car on long trips and we always (even in really hot conditions in France) have to turn it down to stop stuff freezing.
