Hi all,

We are back in the UK for a year or so before heading back out to Africa, where we teach.

I am trying to find a small fridge/cooler (to hold a few days worth of meat and/or a few beers) that would run on a battery (car?)or Kerosene I suppose (although stuff that could blow up is not really ideal). Ideally, I need something that could tick away safely in the back of a 4wd over fairly rough terrain.

Thank you for any ideas at all, or places I could start..

Hello again all. Is this a dead obvious question or far too obscure? Any replies would be much appreciated. We just need a way to keep stuff cool on the move. I know such things exist as I read about one in a book (!?) about a guy traveling about in the Kalahari.

You need a compressor model. We use a Waeco CoolFreeze which you can find here. These are very efficient, very quiet and work well in the Sahara.
