hi there

im wondering if someone can help me out please,

i recently bought a new gas regulator (calor push on type)

on reading the instructions it recommends not using it outdoors?

have these regulators suddenly changed in design in some way ?

like millions of other campers\caravanners over the years my bottle is used outside the trailer.

the only difference i can see is it appears to be of steel construction and my other one is brass

is it perhaps more of a rust issue than a gas safety one?

many thanks for your time,

frip...........

Hi flip...yes i would agreed with you...it doe's seem like a rust issue...i have always used our's outdoors...think for the price of the regulators..and if the one you have purchased is a metal one...i would try take it back and get a good brass one

good luck with it ...and will you let us know the outcome eh ..

Many thanks for your reply...i think you have a valid point and i will try and source a proper calor one ..

ive just realised this one is made in china-perhaps that could account for the non brass construction...lol

thanks again,

frip....

Probably health and safety, did your old one ever say it could be used outdoors? Mine have been outdoors for years, I usually put a bag over it when it rains, but mine are painted red or blue, not bare metal.
