Yes you can use both but most likely not at the same time dependant on the ampage on site, you can trip the EHU and possibly the site!!!

PS I hate microwave food....

Just make sure you don't use one of those really power hungry fast boil kettles!

Check the wattage in the micro wave and the kettle then according to what your EHU is supplying you will know how many or how little appliances you can have on at one time.

We do not purchase special electrical equipment for the caravan. It's the same as the ones we have at home.

Most microwaves are about 3-4 amps, a standard kettle is about 10 amps, so you'll trip most supplies if you use the kettle with anything else, if the breaker in the EHU or even the site if it's sensitive.

I think the general rule is ... Only 1 hot thing at a time so you dont trip the EHU.

We got a kettle from a camping shop. It is smaller and lower amps than a regular kettle. Cute little thing lol

I bought a travel kettle from ebay - does two good mugs of tea and low amps - only 1000 instead of 2-3000 for a domestic kettle.

Our kettle is only 700watts but is fine, we couldnt use the one from home as the kids are still there when we are away. Even so i dont use the caravan microwave at the same time. Just to be on the safe side!

Depends what else you have on already.  If you are running the heating and/or  the hot water then you need to be careful.  We can run HW/heating  turned onto only 1kw, and also use the fitted microwave and our little travel kettle if we are on a 16amp EHU.
