Usually (but not always) all the wiring is in the car already if a model in your car type has the option, ours has (Zafira) and just needed to buy another lighter socket and relay (£10 and 10 min job, even the bodywork has markings for where it goes, or look at model with feature to see where it goes) and plug it in.
Ours has, factory wiring in place but not fitted to car, (from what I've been told but models differ) Cruise control, lighter, towbar, heated door mirrors, electric windows in rear doors, manufacturers can't afford to make different wiring looms for each car so usually just use one or two different ones and fit extras parts according to model being made.
If you've ever looked at the wiring on your car and wondered what that does (the wires that go nowhere) now you know.
