Hi.

I have purchased a twin burner stove with grill which has a regulator and hose...however it does not say in the instructions what gas canisters to use!!!

I am only looking to boil the kettle and toast the odd bit of bread!!

What cylinders would you suggest???? Can I just use a resealable Camping Gaz cartridge thing??

Also the regulator rattles...is this standard or is it broken??

Thanks for your help!!

Dean

Although a pic would help I would guess a 4.5 bottle is all you need.

Hopefully a more experienced camper may pop along though.

If it's the second one, it's the camping Gaz regulator to fit the Camping Gaz 901, 904 and 907's, camping Gaz is not as easily available as Calor Gas in this country and is around £19 to exchange an empty for a full one, not sure if it's broken or not but it shouldn't rattle

The Calor Gas 4.5Kg bottles retail at around £12 for an exchange but you would need to get the correct regulator for it as in the top picture (about £4 - £5), Calor 4.5 Kg retail at around £12 for an exchange and give you more gas than the equivelent Camping Gaz 907 which hold around 2.8 - 3.0 Kg of gas

You need to get a Calor Gas bottle from any source, Car boot sale, local tip, to exchange for a full bottle as the deposit on a bottle is about £30

You can't use the small canisters with this type of cooker

I took my stove with me to a calor gas shop found on internet (luckily we have one locally athough I did not know it was there.. tucked away on an industrial estate) and they were really helpful... sorted me out with all the bits I needed and even gave me a spanner!

Thanks Caster this has answered a question for us regarding the gas bottle exchange.
