We have been using aluminium folding camp beds for the last couple of years, however we do find the bars uncomfortable, but due to health problems need to be up of the floor, what air beds do you recommend? Before we got the camp beds we used low air beds but they always deflated.
I wouldn't use an airbed on top of a camp bed, they tend to shift to easily if you move during the night. I use a good quality self inflating mattress (an 'Airic' from alpkit.com) which is far more comfortable than a standard airbed, when used with a camp bed...
these from aerobed are top quality come with 1 to 5 year guarantees depending on model and are available in normal, raised and specialist outdoor versions.
Aero Beds without doubt, just used them for 10 nights for the first time and it has been the best nights sleep we have had in years. Not cheap but they come with their own pump and 2 year warranty. Can take up to 295 kg.

Aerobed active is by far the best one yet!
After a few from here and there(and returning for a refund) We invested in the aerobed active, its £70 but worth every penny, you wake up in the morning on the bed not on the ground.
Well worth it
we bought a double height "bestway" airbed from littlewoods[it was so cheap we got two, although one has yet to come out of the box!].it has its own built-in pump or you can connect an external one as normal.it is the one that was in the famous flying airbed video at toms birthday flash meet at elm cottage last year!it is very comfy and easy to get on and off due to it being so far off the ground.
Aerobed active is by far the best airbed I've had in years.
You can also get 25% discount this summer if you add the following into the promotion code section CAMPSITE08 when you check out your purchase on the aero website. You'll also need your ukcampsite ID number.
Tesco direct also sell areobed active's at reasonable prices.
------------- You know you've been to camp when....you put your shoes on to go to the toilet in the middle of the night
We have a couple of these and recommended them to friends. Really good nihgts sleep. Intex are good quality and there's the added bonus of being able to split into 2..
We have a king sized Coleman double height air bed, which does not have its own pump, but goes up fine with the one that plugs into the car cigarette lighter. the bed is very comfortable and gives lots of support and space.
It has only been used once for a holiday lasting 5 days! WE DONT WANT IT!!!!!!!!! We have a caravan now so the bed is rolled up in the garage. FREE TO GOOD HOME!!
Anyone wanting a drive over to us, please let me know and I will get it out for you.
Can anyone tell us whether you get the "rolling together" thing with the double Aerobed? I'm thinking of getting 2 - one for me and my husband and one for the kids.

We've just bought a tent and we live down in Coventry. If its still free to a good home - could we have it?

Nicky, I don't suppose you still have this do you? It sounds just what we are after! I'm in Berkshire but am off work this week trying to get stuff organised for our first camping trip to France. Thanks, Andy
