 although our khyam is a bit dark inside I noticed a definate advantage last year, we were camping with relatives who were using a blue vango tent with sig. and the insects seemed to be attracted to it, and there were loads of flies trapped inside. but our tent was more or less fly free lol. then what did hubby suggest!! that we needed a t ent with more windows,,we ende up getting an outwell colorado BLUE tent lol. but I found that nice to camp in as well.

I love our Khyam tent though, and it is the heavier 4oz fabric and is really stable and waterproof..plus easy to errect.

the colour does make it less light first thing...but I think the dawn chorus usually wake campers up early anyway, It does with me, and I never struggle to get up early when camping, not like at home lol.

Been to IKEA today got myself one of those hanging storage thingies. It was a bit tall but it can be cut downso the storage bits are now just a couple of inches off the ground - champion!!

Whilsy in IKEA I noticed a 'Sommar' tray for £1.99 (sale price). Just the job as a small table with its short fold under legs and a lot cheaper than dedicated camping tables. They had plenty too in black, lime green and a turquoise (ish) blue.

 Just come back having used this for the weekend,after seeing this and buying one of the hanging storage rails..I already had the hanginng shelves and it was brill took less time to erect then my collapsable...finger catching..camp stand and took the weight of all my pots,plates jars etc,was much admired by others on the site and I am very tempted to but another one for the bedroom to store clothes..many thanks for posting about it on here...

 I was very lucky that the hanging shelves I had were very robust with  hardboard inserts...must look out for some more like that cos they really didnt bend at all..as for the other suggestions on here.. ...whats wrong with wanting good cheap storage..really dosent mean we need all mod cons..just cheaper then buying the specialist equipment,to me thats what its about...

it's the blue circles pattern thingy at the front.

the small ikea shoulder bags are just right for trips to the loo, with your own loo roll...  just in case :)

the plant pots wouldn't do for a sink. In fact i have no idea why they are in the gardening section. I only came across them by chance!

I use tub trugs for water. Ideally i would have a dozen tub trugs but they aren't flat packable :(

i thought i was going to have to leave the big blue one behind this weekend but i just managed to squidge it in :) 

tescos is best and cheapest for tub trugs, i find.

They are really nice, I am off to Ikea to try and get some bits so I will look out for those.

actually, it is an astra van!

we were taking spare seats and stuff for friends travelling by plane and bike.. but i suspect it will look much the same next week when the two of us go off on our own.

i only got the trug in because i was able to wedge it with an umbrella someone left behind!

i am safety concious about nothing being able to come forward and hit the driver on the head!

thank goodness for wing mirrors!

i have only been to ikea 3 times in my life but tomorrow we are off to visit a daughter in south london.

if we do go shopping i may have to chose between ikea and decathlon! HELP!
