Hi

Does anyone know of a good online store where I can order a cheap lightweight waterproof jacket?

I need it quick - by the end of this week as we are away next weekend.

I do have a waterproof jacket but as we are intending to visit the Farne Islands I don't want my good jacket dive-bombed by the birds 

Any suggestions VERY gratefully received.

Have you tried the likes of local supermarkets for their cheap waterproof macs, you would probably get one for less than the postage of an online store

The latest issue of mountain biking uk has a free emergency rain cape with it. £4.99.

You'd probably look silly in it though.

Well, I've gone ahead and ordered 2 pac a macs off Amazon.

They should be dispatched tomorrow and their standard delivery takes 3-5 days so I'm hoping they arrive before the end of the week.  There was a 1st class delivery option but being a tight wad I wasn't going to pay over £10 when the jackets are only £6 each.

Pixie Rocket - I agree - a hat is also an essential  but I'll probably pick a cheap one up once I'm there.

Just gotta keep my fingers crossed that the sun shines now

If they don't arrive in time try Tesco - I got one on Saturday for £5 - unfortunately though its too small, so its going back.

I'm afraid our nearest Tesco is about a 30 min drive and no time to visit before we go.
