I am in the position where I can take my holidays at short notice. I am looking for a way to get a reliable 5-10 day weather forecast, so if I can see a bright spell coming up I can bang in some leave quick.
I came across this web site http://www.accuweather.com from another post which is quite good, but it got me thinking if there were any other web sites or indeed any other ways of doing this.
------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.

For weather in Scotland, or the Lake District, have a look at http://www.mwis.org.uk/ - Not sure how long range their forecast is, but their localised forecasts have been really accurate when I've used them.
Looking at their site I see they've added The Peak District and Snowdonia too.
Any 5/10 day forecasts are only a rough guess.A week before we went to Kessingland I used to look at the weather channel 10 day forecast,it changed every day from sunny ints to showers, back to sunny ints etc.You can't rely on the weather here so just go for it.
