How heavy is it, I had one of these a few years ago and it was quite heavy

Dunno yet, picking it up tomorrow.

However, it's aluminium so I couldn't imagine it weighing more than a kilo.

Cheers, ours was made of heavy cast iron, aluminium would be great for taking camping, I might get one too.  Let me know how you get on.

We have one of these, it only weighs 900g unpacked or just over 1kg in the (Gift!!!) box.

Well, picked up the griddle today. A lot better than I thought it would be, fairly light (less than 1kg) and looks pretty robust. A good size too, enough for a family of 4 that's for sure. Fits my double burner perfectly.

A word of warning...................we had an aluminium one we bought from woolworths.

One day while using it - it buckled with the heat and slid off the cooker leaving a lovely burn on the floor.

Replaced it with a cast iron one and have had no problems since.
