I have one fo these and it's great, although we don't really give it any "proper preparation", just chuck in the food and the ice packs and away we go. Works extremely well and does keep everything cool for the 5 days and beyond.

I know that the walls can be quite thick on the colemanboxes - what is the actual usable area like inside the box? Can you fit enough stuff in it for a three day break?

Just measured! Yes, there is lots of insulation so the walls are thick. The internal measurements are 25widex55longx25deep (cms) We only really take the basics and it has always been enough space for us, depends what you want to take.

Hi I looked at this one on tuesday next to the igloo maxcold 40, was v. suprised how much smaller inside the coleman was, walls are really thick, am glad I saw them in the flesh as it were, had planned to buy it but after seeing have just taken delivery of the maxcold 40 ; and its great! Something to consider...
