Anyone recommend a portable DVD player that does not go back to the start of the DVD when the engine is turned off. Preferably tablet style. Had Nextbase for several years but cannot get any response from the people who sell them? Mine either need repairing again or buy new. Would prefer two screens to play different discs. Am fed up with trawling through the eletrical sites!
HI
We use the sony dvp-fx720 it remembers where the film was 'at'if power is interrupted and on power up will go straight to that point. Not cheap but very good quality great for the kids in the car on a long journey after 'comfort breaks' out lasted 2 cheapo players.Hope this helps.
Well we use a combo unit and it's the nuts. It's a 11" digital freeview tv &dvd play thats all in one it also has gigital radio on it too but it didn't say so on the box so thats a bonus eh.. It really is fantastic and it's won an award from what hi fi and sound mag..
We have the acoustic solutions one from Argos for the car. It has two screens which strap onto the headrests of the car and you can run up to four screens from it. It can play two DVDs at once and will resume where it left off (if left too long it will go back to the start). The only problem is that the sound from the screens is a bit low when the engine is running.
Hi, we also use the ones from argos at £99 plus everything you need included, Not had a problem with sound, in fact I've asked the kids to turn them down, but when they watch their own individual dvd's they use headphones. Click here

I've no idea whether they go back to the beginning when you turn the engine off, but they play two different things at the same time. My son sat indoors and watched a film, OH seems quite pleased with them so far. Very quick delivery too.
