Hi Nigel,

From what I can see the extension is 2.6m long, but it overlaps the front section of the tent (to the second pole from the front). On Outwell's website, this front section is 1.1m, so knock this off the extension length, so you extend the overall length (excluding guys ropes) by approx 1.5m

I will have a better view in two weeks time when we use ours for the first time ....

We already have the side canopy which is useful to cook under when it rains but we quite fancy the extension as it seems to provide more shelter. It may however cause a problem on some pitches if it extends the tent too long.

I've just brought a Monty 6 and canopy .... lovely!

If it extends the tent too much, just take over the next pitch!!
