I left it too late to swap them for the fat airics in the end and stuck with these - they turned out to be fine actually! were comfy and warm - but shall make some kind of slip cover for them next time as you slide about an awful lot and end up waking all night to get yourself back on them :)
Halfords have got some for £25. I think they are 5cm deep and 60cm wide and have a velour-type covering on them. Can't vouch for their comfort though. I'm very pleased with my fat airic, would fully agree with everyone who rates them. We use the rubberised anti-slip stuff to stop any slipping.
Someone on here suggested putting the two mats into an old duvet cover. I then ran a seam down the duvet cover to make it just the right size for the two mats to fit side by side. This kept them together and we didn't slip.
We got the cheap Aldi ones for our cycle camping trip round Lake Garda in July. Got one each at first then realised they wouldn't be that comfortable so went back and got two more - one on top of the other was absolutely fine, and we had four for the price of just one of the top brand ones.

It still only cost half as much though - no way was I paying £80 or more for two brand name mats that would only be used for two nights. As it was, it cost us £20 each - no contest!

Well to save on luggage we had thought about buying a couple of cheap beach-type airbeds when we got there, but neither of us liked the thought that we might roll off them during the night!

Noticed some in Decathlon the other night-no idea how they compare with other makes tho'. Some of the other gear seems decent & decently priced so they may be an option.
Hubbys airbed went down the first night in France, so for 10 days we 'borrowed' a camp bed from our friends who had a keycamp tent.
When we moved sites we bought one at Decathlon. This too proved unreliable, so on the way back to the ferry we stopped off in another Decathlon and got our money back!
Fat Airics next year I reckon. Just depends if we can buy a new car as no room for them in the one we have.
