Looking for a little guidance.

We purchased a second hand camping gaz nouveau , with the cylinder(allegadly full), and regulator, it is a camping gaz 28mbar,1300g/h.

The cooker works , on the regulator, the on /off knob is hard to open & shut, you light one burner , everything is ok , if you light second burner or grill the gas output just falls and one or the other goes out.

We are newby's and this is the first time we have used it, need to know have we got a problem , and need to get it checked, or is it that the gas is running out.

Help please.

It certainly sounds like an almost-empty cylinder however you say it is allegedly full...

Try weighing the cylinder as the empty (tare) weight of a 907 is around 3.65kg (for others sizes you'd have to read off the tare weight stamped on the bottle). Shaking it can also give some indication however neither a completely empty or completely full one will make much noise so it is of little value in this case.

Failing that, check the hose/fittings for any obvious signs of blockage.

Incidentally, our same hob/grill can operate everything at full tilt without any discernible loss of output.

Thanks for that.

Cyclinder weighed in at 5.4kg, i think its 907, a lot of the writing is missing.

Going to check pipe, and get a new regulator, will get cyclinder topped up and see what happens.

if it weighs in at 5.4kg don't bother as they only hold 2.8kg when full, so it's over half full

It could be the regulator, it will only cost around a fiver to find out, have you checked the burner holes to see if they're gunged up? they sometimes get blocked with boiled over food

Just for reference, a 907
