For anyone who hasnt got the message about Delta pegs.....
Polycotton tent,
No sig,
Tarp over the front of the tent as a canopy
Much wind.
A huge guest of unexpected wind took down our tarp that was being used as a canopy that did NOT have Deltas.
The fibreglass poles bent further than I thought they could without breaking and we thought the tent was going to take off !
But the tent was not without Deltas and she stood strong.
So if you think Deltas are a little expensive or not necessary think again... they really are the mutts nutts,
Angie

Thanks Angie, talking about poles bending, here's a photo that a gentleman sent me a little earlier in the year. Looked a bit blowy . He did say that he would have lost the tent if it wasn't for Delta pegs.

Yes, thank you. Sorry I haven't replied but I have been both busy and unwell. I will certainly be looking deeper into this project.

Blimey that IS a bit blowy lol
For the first time ever I thought the tent was a goner !!!
And as it is a cheapo Obelink tent i didnt expect the poles to hold out.
Luckily they did ... just had a soggy tarp on the floor lol
Sorry to hear you have been unwell Rob, hope you are ok now :)
Man flu? lol
Where can I hide lmao

We were lucky, we survived intact !
Lucky really considering that the tent is a cheapie Obelink polycotton thing and their stuff has, apparently, questionable quality but we were pleasently surprised and more than happy with our cheapo second hand tunnel :)
Hubby refuses to camp under poly now and we got a few poly tents including a brand new weathermaster ... MEN !

Sam,hope you managed to salvage your tent! even with the cover the vehicles gave (if any) that's one hell of a knock down.
in all honesty,--------- how can people hope to have peace of mind even when they purchase what is thought to be a respected make and that happens? perhaps your pic should be sent to KHYAM!
again "Delta's" show there worth,a product that I and many more endose to the full.

Sorry to hi-jack the thread a little,Sam have you returned or contacted khyam over the pole failure.Step son had same problem with his tent, got full refund and wont be buying one of these again. No good being able to put up quickly if it comes down as quickly due to poor poles.
------------- Need a coffee in the morning.
