Hi
we dont have a Cadacs but my Brothers both have them This summer when we all camped together in France they cooked some wonderful meals, they are so versatile too. Around the campsite were many Dutch folk all using these same Cadacs gas cookers. They seem to be really popular especially with the bigger families, but we shall still continue with our small bar ba cue. malcomR

I have one too and use mine to cook everything on whilst camping and I still do the weekend breakfast on it at home come rain or shine, I don't know why it just seems more fun doing it on that and I can pretend I am camping!!

We have the Cadac Eazi chef deluxe and OH loves it. He makes all sorts on it.
We even cooked Apple and Pear Crumble on it this October half term (from fruit from the trees on the camp site)

Hi,
I personally find them too heavy and mine tends to blow out in a breeze. It is in my shed and I have tried to sell it/almost give it away on a couple of occasions.
I much prefer a charcoal jobbie.

Hi
I find it a little heavy too, but wouldn't be without handy for cooking the breakfast and saves smelling out the caravan.
Only thing is murder to clean when using as the bbq.,

Brilliant BBQ. We use it day and night when camping. Tip - when using Skottel. After cooking and serving up put in some water and let it boil for a few minutes. Makes it easier to clean.

Sorry to butt in on the thread but can someone tell me what the difference between the Cadacs is? They all have different names but look the same to me!!!! Safari? Eazi? Carri? Deluxe model?
Is any one better than the others??

Basically you have two base models. A small one 'Safari' and a large one 'Eazi or "Carri" chef. Some have more accessories the carri chef is the new 2009 model - I think! See here for some good deals.

Recently purchased a 2009 delux cadac, great bit of kit.
just a small note- the 2009 cadac has a different type of bbq attachment, it is easier to clean than the old wire mesh type on the earlier models, thats possibley why the 2008 model is alot cheaper now than the 2009 model.
