Perhaps you would be better with a porch awning type thingy to give you more space. I know a lot of sites do not allow gazebos.Shame to waste money if you can't use it.

one of the other problems with a gazebo is the fact that the fabric is not waterproof and I would say after two very wet years camping waterproof is good

I have seen gazebos secured using awning tie down kits that should stop them blowing away

Weve got the Outwell Oklahoma and with the wind (gale force 6) we had near Tenby a gazebo would have been flattened in minutes!

The Oklahoma flapped and bashed around but was still standing and waterproof!

In nice weather all 4 sides can either roll up compleatly or mesh, it has windows with curtains on all corners.

The neighbours and the site owner were very impressed! One caravaner thought that it was my tent and was shocked when I told here that it was my kitchen/dining room!!

The cost does put you off but when you think weve had to bin 2 x £40 gazebos because they colasped, then it soon pays for it's self. oh and I've got matching windbreaks!!!!

Day tents are sturdier, last longer, are more practical and when packed away take less space than a gazebo.

Another recently discovered advantage - on a CL with more mossies than was healthy ....................... day tent + sides down + curtains up = enjoyable evening.
